The National Children’s Chorus is honored to present a virtual opera production of Brundibár, composed by Hans Krása, with a special virtual music tribute from Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.

Brundibár is a children’s opera with an incredible history. It had its premiere in German-occupied Prague during the winter of 1942 and is known for its production by many of those same children in the Theresienstadt concentration camp.

Filmed live in beautiful Vail, Colorado, this historic virtual opera presentation features students from the NCC Opera Camp’s pilot program, which will officially launch Summer 2022.

The National Children’s Chorus dedicates this performance to the memory of all the children who lost their lives during the Holocaust.
