About NCC

The National Children's Chorus, under the leadership of Artistic Director Luke McEndarfer and Associate Artistic Director Dr. Pamela Blackstone, is quickly establishing itself as one of the world’s leading children’s choirs, with a set of 22 ensembles and more than 700 students, based in Los Angeles, New York City, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.

It was such a joy to see our students’ smiling f It was such a joy to see our students’ smiling faces for the NCC’s first virtual session on Sunday! This time together is truly special and we are deeply thankful for all of you. It was so fun to see and hear students from all four NCC chapter cities connecting with each other across the country. We are all eager to continue exploring this new way of making music and excited to expand our online curriculum, including weekly private instruction for all students (which launched today)! 😊🎶
As the coronavirus has spread throughout the world As the coronavirus has spread throughout the world and changed our lives as we know it, we've been thinking about our students and reflecting on the special nature of our time together at the NCC. Students, thank you as always for your talent, intelligence, excitement and joy for music. Ultimately, these are things that belong to you, are a part of you, and can never be taken away—not by this current crisis or any crisis in the future. Though we are apart, we very much look forward to seeing you online this weekend as we launch our new live curriculum and interactive virtual rehearsal space. Together, we will get through this, and our voices will rise again!

A little #memorymonday to our last concert at Carn A little #memorymonday to our last concert at Carnegie Hall. This was taken backstage right before a fantastic performance by our New York Debut Ensemble. We can't wait to perform here again this December!
Singing together in choir instills the value of te Singing together in choir instills the value of teamwork, and we often notice that our students also develop strong leadership skills. Choristers helping each other with their markings is a small but special example. NCC students take great responsiblity and pride in their achievements, and are not only leaders in our ensembles, but throughout their lives.
Our first ever all-city event including all 4 of o Our first ever all-city event including all 4 of our chapter cities will be on May 9th at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in NYC, and we simply cannot wait to get back on that stage. Joining together with other NCC students from across the country each year is always one of our favorite and most powerful experiences! #futurefriday
